David Adams
David Adams has worked as an advanced Cardiac Sonographer at Duke University Medical Center since 1979 and is registered in both adult and pediatric ECHO. Has been a member of Team Heart since 2011 and has traveled to Rwanda multiple times performing screening on potential surgical patients, and educating nurses, medical students, and residents of Rwanda on ECHO. David retired in November 2016 and has participated in more global missions- he has also been involved in medical trips to Sudan, India, Russia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. He is a recipient of the ASE Sonographer Teaching Award and was awarded the very first Sonographer Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.
